A Bucket List Night for Andy

Seeing Jamey Johnson in concert was on Andy Gould’s bucket list.
Andy is battling Stage 4 incurable cancer, and his best friends were determined to help him check that experience off his list. They purchased four tickets and brought him to Jamey’s show at Caesars Virginia in Danville on July 11, 2026.
What Andy did not know was that his wife, Debbie, had been working behind the scenes to connect with someone from Jamey’s team. She hoped to arrange a brief introduction and make the night even more meaningful for him.
While Andy was standing in the merchandise line before the show, Jamey’s road manager and members of the Give It Away Foundation came to get him. Andy was completely confused and briefly thought he was being removed from the venue because he had forgotten to take a pocketknife out of his pocket before entering.
Thankfully, that was not the case.
Andy was brought into a conference room, where he had the opportunity to meet Jamey and spend time talking with him about life. Jamey also presented Andy with a donation from the Give It Away Foundation.
Later that evening, Jamey made the night even more special by dedicating Andy’s favorite song to him from the stage.
What began as a trip planned by a few close friends to fulfill one bucket list wish became a night Andy and everyone who loves him will always remember.
Andy, we know you will continue hunting, fishing, and trapping while we keep you in our prayers.
Debbie, we are sending so much love and holding your heart close through all of this.
