2025 Give It Away Foundation Grants
These grants helped provide food and opportunities for children, clear school meal debt, support families facing serious illness, rescue and rehabilitate animals, assist veterans, serve people experiencing homelessness, and raise awareness for organ donation.
Each recipient was selected because its mission reflected a cause close to Jamey and Brittney Johnson’s hearts and offered a direct way to make a meaningful difference.
In 2025, the Give It Away Foundation awarded 11 grants to organizations and initiatives creating meaningful change in their communities.

Clearing School Meal Debt in Hancock County
One of the foundation’s most personal grants supported the Hancock County School District in Mississippi, where Brittney grew up and attended school.
The grant cleared outstanding meal debt for 550 students across six schools. By removing that financial burden, the foundation helped local families while allowing students to enter the cafeteria without added pressure or embarrassment.
“I grew up in the Hancock County School District, and I’m so proud to give back to my home community in this way. My goal was to remove this financial weight from hardworking parents and free students from any pressure they might feel when entering the cafeteria each day. I want the kids to focus on learning and just being kids!”

Supporting Children and Families
In addition to the Hancock County School District grant, Give It Away supported four organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families.
First Friday Kids Support Group
Based in Polk County, Florida, First Friday Kids Support Group provides weekend backpacks filled with food for children throughout the school year.
The Charley Foundation
Through events such as Rumble on the Row, this Nashville organization supports charities serving children with critical needs.
Lizana Youth Association
Located in Pass Christian, Mississippi, the Lizana Youth Association provides sports programs and opportunities for children in a low-income community.
Wichita’s Littlest Heroes
This Kansas-based organization provides support to children living with life-threatening medical conditions and to their families.
Animal Rescue and Veteran Support
Animals hold a special place in Jamey and Brittney’s hearts. Three of the 2025 grants supported organizations working to rescue, protect, and rehabilitate animals.
Mane Mission
This Tennessee organization rescues and rehabilitates horses that are then used in equine therapy programs for veterans.
Nashville Pittie
Nashville Pittie rescues and rehabilitates pit bulls, helping approximately 50 dogs each year find safety, care, and a new beginning.
Animal Rescue Corps
Animal Rescue Corps conducts large-scale emergency rescues involving animals affected by abuse, neglect, puppy mills, and disasters. The organization also supports animals throughout the legal and recovery process following a rescue.
Meeting Other Critical Needs
The foundation also awarded grants addressing homelessness, organ donation awareness, and pancreatic cancer.
The Stepping Stone Shelter
The Stepping Stone Shelter supports people experiencing homelessness across 20 counties in southwest Kansas.
Heart of the Motor
Awarded through Donate Life Kentucky Trust, this grant supports screenings of the Heart of the Motor documentary. These events raise awareness about organ donation and encourage attendees to register as organ donors.
Nikki Mitchell Foundation
The Nikki Mitchell Foundation provides comfort and assistance to people affected by pancreatic cancer while raising awareness and supporting the search for a cure. The 2025 grant helped address the urgent needs of a young mother undergoing treatment for Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and provided meaningful support for her family during an incredibly difficult time.

Jamey Johnson contributes one dollar from every ticket sold at participating shows to the fund. All proceeds from the Give It Away T-shirt also directly support the foundation’s work.
